*Swoon*This place is a food fairytale for me. The whimsy, the snacks that pop up on your table, the flavors, all in a small bubbly brightly painted little nook in a strip mall. It’s kind of insane but also so perfectly AZ.Focusing on breakfast and lunch with locally sourced ingredients and a curated crepe collection, it’s a wonderful place to grab a coffee and nibble away at some of the most delightful fare. From sweet to savory, Crepe Bar has you covered. The Grand Prix, the Serrano Duck, the Buffalo Chicken, and the 13 Mile Vegetable top my list for those wishing to keep it on the savory side. The spice level and depth of flavor is uncanny and the Grand Prix plays on the old syrup and pork sweet and salty balance that mimics a traditional American breakfast. On the sweet side, the Pick Me Up, is fantastic and features espresso and coffee in all it’s glorious forms from whipped cream to crunchy espresso beans. I also have indulged in the speciality lattes they produce and those all are wonderful with spices not typical found in your traditional coffee shop.The highlight though is the fact that even though you purchase a crepe for a main, you can get additional brioche, toasts, and granola that is out of this world but really the snacks are what takes the experience to a new level. Surprise little nibbles appear on your table as you dine from the chef that play on your palate and give you an elevated experience for a very casual in terms of cost and feel restaurant.
