Not too good not too bad place , Indian food american taste ,Goat curry was good in the buffet . Deserts were okay . Veg had a few options but overall decent place for Americans, indians need much more spice and taste.
Went for dinner here. I won’t say it is a bad place , but neither will I say its a very good one where everyone should go to. If you don’t have any other place nearby and want you only have Indian food, it won’t be such a bad idea to try this out.Pros and what to orded:1.) The better Indian food place nearby (walking distance.2.) As a snack they serve papad here which is something new and good. The chutney they give along with it is really spice. 3.) Do order the malai Kofta. It is really good. Cons and what not to order:1.) don’t order the chilli vegetable thinking it will be of Indian taste. It kind of tends to be sweet and of Chinese style. General verdict, if you don’t have any other choice of Indian food nearby go here. They kind of call themselves an Indian restaurant but the spices and style of cooking seems to be with American ingredients than authentic Indian ones.
Absolutely waste of money for a lunch buffet. This place is always my last resort to kill my hunger. Avoid this place if you can. The staff is not that great either.
Not a very good Indian Restaurant.. dishes here are not too good.. place is not very crowded.. a very average place for Indian food.. I would not recommend this place..
Delicious Saturday buffet with quick and friendly service.
Trash. Delhi Palace is an Indian food restaurant located in Tempe Arizona. When Emmett and I visited it, it was really empty for a Saturday night and we were seated within seconds. After being seated the pre meal snack was brought out by our waiter, a small Indian woman with a thick accent. It looked like the bread had been left out in the sun for days and someone threw sunflower seeds on it. The taste was even worse than the looks of it; the brittle bread had a rather bitter and revolting taste. There was a baby food looking sauce that also came out with the bread, but when you put it on the bread it only intensified the terrible taste. After tasting such a terrible starter, we decided to only get appetizers just in case the rest of food tasted the same. We asked the waiter what she recommended, but she had no idea what the menu even consisted of. She had to go get one of her co-workers to come tell us what he preferred; we ended up ordering Chicken Pakoras: deep fried chicken and Assorted Snacks: Vegetable Pakoras, Samosa, and Chi Panora. The food came out decently quick and was surprisingly a very small portion even for an appetizer. The Chicken Pakoras were just basic deep fried chicken, nothing special at all. They were a little bland, but there was a dark syrupy dipping sauce that gave it some flavor. As for the Assorted Snacks, they were just as bad as the starter food. I took one bite and was hit with a bitter taste that I had to chase with water to get out of my mouth. I thought I might have just had a rare strong nasty flavor in that bite, so I decided to try another bite to only taste the same gross flavor.Overall, Delhi Palace was an overpriced Indian food restaurant that serves disgusting food. It was so bad that I had to go to another restaurant to get food that I could actually eat without gagging. The service is decent, but it cannot make up for how bad and overly priced the food was. I will most likely never recommend this restaurant or return to it again. I now realize why the restaurant was so empty on a Saturday night.
I have been coming here for five years with the same group of friends for their shrimp korma – it’s in my top five favorite dishes EVER
