I went there a couple of times during lunch. Since I don’t eat beef and avoid pork too I ordered chicken. It came as two huge breast pieces. For my taste it was bland. But I simply gorged on the huge appetiser sampler plate. It had a lot of sea food deep fried in a batter which was good. But the best was okras.
The food here is abundant, and the service is cordial. But the barbecue has a bland, mass-produced quality. There was little smoky flavor, and the ribs were on the tough side.
This is the best I’ve had of barbecue restaurants in the past 3ys. The brisket is Thicker, tender slices with nice bark, & crusty exterior. It also had a nice fat cap, done right it melts in your mouth. Not everyone is wild about fat on brisket, but I think some is Essential. The ribs give your mouth-tingling heat. Piping hot, One juicy, spicy bite leads to the next; it’s part hunger and part desire that drive a person through a great rack of ribs.The rib tips and pulled pork are succulent and will leave you wanting more….all while listening to some live blues. Those with developed palates will love this gem. Those with under developed palates will not know how to appreciate this great food and the added bonus of great service, ambiance, & entertainment.
