  It’s just my opinion. I have been going to the 50’s diner for 12 years off and on and I have noticed as the years go by the portions are getting smaller and smaller as I look underneath my ham steak for the rest of my home fries I enquire to the respectful and sweet waitress where are the rest of my home by her embarrassment she told me that they are under what they call portion control this means that they have to weigh out home fries and hash browns she told me that they are giving 8 ounces of home fries or hash browns I also ordered a regular milk I was brought a juice size milk I was charged 1.95 for thatI told the waitress that I had ordered a regular milk she told me that the owners of the 50’s diner consider that a regular size milk I ordered more home fries II was not told I would be charged for them and I was charged for them I’ve also ordered there chicken wings they told me they would be large I got 7 they are no way large chicken wings small small you get seven and I felt like I only 3 I ordered them from the bar it took a long time to get my order and they were cold I asked the nice waitress if they had many complaints about the same thing I was complaining about she said they have i also ask the waitress if the owners were aware of these complaints she said they were but they have no intentions of changing what they consider portion control I considerate stingy and just plain greed don’t waste your time going down to the fifty’s diner there are better places down the highway where they don’t have portion control now this is just my opinion and I would appreciate it if I was not harassed for my opinion I’m only saying this because I have gotten five emails from the management of the fifties diner since I have posted reviews I even had to have them blocked I have kept them all for proof one of the emails management sent me was even entitled (why are you so mean) belittling my opinion I consider that harassment and they are even going against review policy that no harassment of any kind will NOT be tolerated by the reviewer or reviewe and as my review is just my personal opinion review I don’t feel I need to be harassed01 May, 2015Worth your time or money. I have eaten at the fifty’s diner I find it overpriced they way there portion and only give you 6 grams of potato home frys they give you small portions charge you large prices they even give you a juice size milk and tell you that that is standard size it cost you a r$1.95 the food is not good chicken wings are sold as large chicken wings but they are small chicken wings not worth the price just keep on going there is much better places further down the road then here for your money

  Service fast and friendly! The natural cut Fries were a little overdone but still good. My patty melt meat was cooked just right and juicy. The bread was a little burnt but still good. Overall it was pretty decent food.

  Very hard to find east of the Shell station through the parking lot really great breakfast give it a shot you won’t be disappointed…
