One of our favorite Sedona restaurant trips was to A Pizza Heaven. What a downer when they closed….then we heard about Gerardo’s. What a pleasant surprise. The ambiance is slightly improved over the previous decor but the happy news is that some delicious new offerings are standard fare. The calimari was tasty and crispy. The special three course offering was a bargain and the stuffed chicken exceptional. The only drawback was that the wine, a nice Spanish red, was ridiculously warm. Fortunately the delay wasn’t too egregious as we chilled it to something closer to 60 degrees.
