This place really went downhill for a time. That time is over, it's just as good as it was in the '80's. Go back give it a try.…

Not impressive in an area saturated with local Mexican flavor. Jalapeo poppers seemed frozen out of a box. The crowd was very tame for a Sunday afternoon maybe 12 people total. Waitstaff was a variety of eager young willing to tell about the local area to older anuninspired. The entre was average and the salsa very dull and bland. To their credit the chips were crisp and good and the green sauce brought from the kitchen added a delicious flavor to an otherwise below average meal . I would say move on if you want a true authentic local flavor.
Food was good
The atmosphere, service and food is the worst. Use to be a great restaurant until it moved. The food is now bland with no taste. Service is poor even when they aren’t busy. Waitresses are not friendly and could use some training on how to waitress. The margaritas use to be really good but they also have gotten worse. Really sad to see what once was the best restaurant is now the worst for Mexican food.
This gets my vote for the worst Mexican food I have ever had. The beef fajittas were chewy. Salsa for the chips was mostly tomato paste. Margarita on ice was 85% ice. Lunch buffet was awful looking and poorly maintained. Cheap, yes, but you get what you pay for.
The food was excellent. Big portions. Sit in the Red Heads area….she is witty and awesome.
MUCH IMPROVED. Well, these new owners are bringing the pride back. My wife had the Blackened Mahi and cant stop talking about it…and I had the Baja Fish Tacos and I gotta tell you, out of this world. Even the staff seems to be much happier and alive. From the looks of the full Thursday night, their happy hour isnt doing too badly either. Don’t buy the old negative reviews. The new old Chretin’s is a breath of fresh air. Finally a new locally owned quality hangout….TOTALLY IMPRESSED
WAY OVER PRICED!!!
