The Best!. Best food ever, I have ate at Mr. G’s off an on for 30 years. I live in Texas now. I also travel a lot around the US. We always compare Mexican food to Mr. G’s we haven’t found another one yet. I have never had a bad meal from Mr. G’s when we come to Yuma I buy a cooler and put fifty dollars worth of rolled tacos and burrito’s to bring home. Barry

I don’t think I need to really write a review for the locals, so, this review is for any out of towners either traveling to or through Yuma. Mr. Gs is by and large the BEST Mexican food I have tasted coming from a restaurant. My review follows:Indulge your taste buds on a magnificent journey through the wonders of authentic Mexican food at Mr. Gs. Don’t be fooled by the humble decorating and the pleasant staff, this one stop shop for all things Mexican food packs a serious blow to all other restaurants merely attempting to put out what they call Mexican food. I prefer to feast on a couple of their bean and cheese burritos and accompany it with four rolled tacos. While it may sounds like a simple meal, this amazing combo takes Mexican food to a new level. The food here is great no matter what you get (and believe me I have tried a large number of their selections) and the staff, while they aren’t exactly the conversational type are always pleasant. This place is one of the best when you prefer Mexican cuisine.As far the price goes, they have increased their prices since I went to high school here in Yuma but they aren’t outrageous. You’ll end up paying a little over $1.50 for a bean and cheese burrito-when I ordered two burritos and four rolled tacos I ended up paying about $5-so this place is DEFINITELY affordable for any budget.The restaurant’s atmosphere is welcoming, the food is simply amazing, and the staff is just that-staff. So I rate this place a 9 out of 10 for fast food shops. It is a MUST go!
Everyone in town says how great it is but I just don’t see it. The food is terribly greasy and the salsa is like watered down tomato juice. The prices are OK but I would go to a ton of different places over this one. People say it is a Yuma icon but I ask the question, why?
Not for us. They use toi much chili powder in the salsa. We are from texas looking for some good tacos and we did not find them here.
