There’s always room for another great coffee house, especially ones that roast their own beans, in my book. Heroes is actually an already thriving small chain but they have chosen to move their main operations here. I was warmly greeted when I entered by the baristas. As we discussed my selection the owner joined our conversation. I was intrigued to hear about their shop and see the roaster. I usually start with a cup of a single origin roast to get an idea of how the coffee is. This time I was able to choose from several and also my preferred brewing method. The results were quite good and as a bonus it was a fraction of the cost of their local and national competitors. The space is somewhat small with the roasting room taking up a good deal of real estate. I still found it a nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy my coffee.
