I love Kennedy’s coffee and specialty drinks. The flavor is excellent. I hit up Kennedy frequently for beans for myself and others, especially around Christmas time. If you’re into specialty drinks, you cannot go wrong with a house mocha. My husband doesn’t like coffee whatsoever but really enjoys the frozen house cocoa.Kennedy also frequently has local art on display, which is a nice touch. The only downside to Kennedy is that they are packed 99% of the time we stop by (because they are so good), so you do have to wait a while to place and receive your order. The last several times I’ve been seating hasn’t been available. That’s not a problem if you’re getting your order to go. Just something to be aware before going in.
This place is okay for coffee. Too pricy for beverages that are just a little better than Starbucks. Hard to rate coffe. No matter where you go it is coffe, milk and some flavor syrup.
The great thing about Kennedy Coffee is that they roast their own beans. More importantly they know what they are doing! I know Starbucks made specialty coffee drinks a big thing but for true Coffee lovers there is nothing like a small batch roasted, single origin, brewed coffee served black. Most of Starbucks brewed offerings are blends. Kennedy’s has some blends but really shines with those single origin coffees! Why black? Without sweeteners and creams you can taste the subtle and not so subtle differences in the beans and the roasts. I’m not hating on SB I stop there quite often when there’s no local alternative or the local isn’t up to par. Kennedy is more than up to par, I always buy a couple of bags of beans to take home. Their decaf is some of the best I’ve had. My only desire would be that they offer a Swiss Water Process decaf, and or organic decaf. They do have some organic regular beans! The other issue is getting in and out of the parking lot. Give yourself time at lunch or rush hour.
Tried it for the first time yesterday and was disappointed. My family was staying in Bentonville and I have heard great things about the place so maybe I had my hopes too high. The staff seemed annoyed by having to take our order. The house mocha tasted like cinnamon and nothing else. The cinnamon roll was dry and slathered with icing, my son who LOVES cinnamon rolls wouldn’t even eat it. My daughter got a cherry turnover that she didn’t want to eat because it tasted burnt. $17 wasted. I prefer Onyx any day, it’s a hundred times better hands down. Since there is no other coffee shop around our hotel I’m going again today to try a plain ol house brew, hope it’s better. Gotta have my coffee!
There coffee is so good!!! I have tried many of the specialty iced/frozen drinks and I am never disappointed!
I just moved here from Seattle and this coffee is fantastic!
Best in Benton County -hands down.. I live in Fayetteville and I look forward to my visits to Bentonville because I can get some coffee here!
