Its been closed for quite some time. In fact they were never seemed to be open even when the company web site still had them listed. Too bad, my only experience with Larrys was pretty bad and I was hoping to be able to compare this location. How pizza chains continue to pop up is beyond me. Honestly the ground is WELL covered and there is NOTHING new under the pizza sun.
Tried Larry’s Pizza in Bentonville today. Was not impressed and, in fact, was pretty disgusted. For one, it was very dirty. Almost every plate I took off the buffet stack was crusted with old food. They hadn’t even been open yet when we got in there and there was food on the floors presumably from last night since there was no food on the buffet yet. The cheese shakers on the tables were dingy looking and caked in old food. They brought around pizza to your table which was a nice feature but they let the pizza lifter touch the dirty plates at the table. They weren’t proactive at telling other customers to get clean plates before going to the buffet (state law) and thus many were and I’m fairly certain the aforementioned lifters touching the plate would fall under that same law (section 3-304.16 of health code). They were also filling ice in cups by using the cup itself rather than a scoop, their hands were getting into the ice. There was also the possibility that they took one of our dirty cups and stuck it into the ice bin to refill the ice and when there was too much ice they poured some of it back in. I can’t say for certain the dirty cup went in but it sure looked like it and based on the rest of our experience I think it is safe to assume that was the case. Until we were ready to leave, they never once picked up dirty plates either which I guess shouldn’t surprise me.Beyond cleanliness, the food was just mediocre at best and was way overpriced for what we got. Suffice it to say, I’m not going back.
