What an incredible coffee shop. Considered one of the best in the US with champion barista’s and roasters on staff. The are cool, having fun and really love what they do. Incredible environment and great coffees. They travel the world to find the best beans and roast them themselves. You will enjoy yourself here.

So…we were on the square during NWA Fashion Week this spring. It was chilly and a warm cup of coffee/tea sounded good. This place is always crowded so we decided to stop in. My man is big on service so having the staff more interested in cutting up and being silly than waiting on us put him off. When we finally got our coffee and tea with cookies, we just sat there quietly laughing. The cute little cookies were dried out and tasteless while the drinks were okay. We both agreed that it’s definitely not the place for us. But all the young students on either side of us were very happy to be there. I’m pretty sure I sprouted a few more grey hairs before I got out the door lol. Very pretty, young and caffeinated!
I can’t walk past this place without stopping in. It doesn’t matter if I’ve just eaten 1/2 my wife’s breakfast and all mine next door at pressroom or not. There’s always room for some Onyx. Typically I order the Onyx delight but I’ve order a variety of items off their menu and I have yet to be disappointed. Also their coffee is purchased above the fair trade standards and their staff is incredibly friendly and helpful!
Delicious drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and tasty treats. I appreciate the uniqueness I find in their menu and the pride they take in what they serve. Bonus: they offer locally brewed beer.
