Truly amazing. Restaurant is in an old church with their related bar, Undercoft, down stairs. Had the shredded carrot as an appetizer, tomato peach salad, but the star of the show was the pork shoulder. The meat fell off the bone and the grits and watermelon complemented it in ways my tongue had never tasted. For sure a must try. Their wine list was impressive as well.
A church becomes a restaurant and multiple bars. Beautifully remodeled and decorated, this wide open, bright and beautiful setting for food that equals the experience. Because it is a wide open environment it can get a bit loud but not intrusive. The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The menu is wide ranging and all very good. The food is all gluten free but you would never know it. We started out with crab cakes, tacos and a broccoli and cheese salad for appetizers and all were very good, especially the crab cakes. Then we had the Pork shank which was the hit of the evening along with the nightly special salmon and then the mussels dish. All was very good. The desserts did have gluten free flavoring a bit. The drinks were outstanding. Don’t miss the upstairs and the downstairs bar, they are really cool.
