(3.5) The Meatball with Garlic Bread appetizer was good and had us anxiously awaiting the pizza. The wings werent special but again good except for the lackluster blue cheese dressing, the pizza must be good… Unfortunately it turned out much like our visit to Johnny Bruscos, everything was good except the main event – the pizza. The Meat Lovers pie was swimming in grease, a napkin helped that, but the flavor just wasnt there. I do appreciate their having Italian seasoning on the table along with parmigiana and pepper flakes, the pie needed help. If my only experience with NYC style pizza was Johnnys and Reggies Id just assume I wasnt a fan of NYC type pizza but I know better. With numerous pizza joints in town, many being chains, I sure wish someone would open a Grimaldis franchise, theres a great NYC pie even outside the city!
