A native Texan and BBQ lover, I was excited to try a non-chain. Sadly, the BBQ here is too dry for my taste.
For the price?? Smokin’……. Took in a weeknight dinner and had a cold one, really really cold one waiting. Two meat plate with chicken and pulled pork. Salad and fried okra. (Boo, no,collards).For $10.95 though you cannot beat it. Four sauces too. Nice down home century BBQ feel inside. Service is good.Could not eat it all. Well above average. B+ and would return.
Out of all of the BBQ I’ve tried in the country, this is BY FAR the best. The ribs are amazing! If you haven’t had this place, try it!!
Friendly service, classic BBQ flavor that will please all. It’s my favorite place to get BBQ in town.
I have a knack for arriving places just before they get busy . . .. Stopped in on the way home Friday for dinner, and there is so much to choose from! Waitress was super sweet, and my daughter adored her. Hubby had the Giant Chicken Fried Steak, which was Giant indeed. Daughter ordered the childs burger, so I followed with the Bacon and Bleu Burger. Delicious, huge, and cooked perfectly. Got very crowded after we got there, you can tell this is a neighborhood favorite.
Barbecue is Awesome, the Sides are so-so. The Barbecue is awesome for us. Between my husband and myself, we have triedBbq porksmoked turkeybbq brisketchicken fried steakTo be honest, the chicken fried steak was just average. Their sides are lacking, potatoes taste a bit instance, and others are just average. Not great, but not terrible. Service was a bit slow. However, the bbq itself???Very, very good. The bbq alone is worth the trip.
Food is good but they need to be quicker at front counter. Was placing order to go and she took a phone call in the middle of my order. What’s up with that?
