Had breakfast here on an extremely busy Memorial Weekend. The restaurant is a big open room that is very clean and orderly despite how busy it was. They are obviously used to being busy. After about a 30 day wait we were seated and greeted by a very pleasant and happy server even though she had been running pretty hard for a while. After about 20 minutes our food arrived and we were overwhelmed with more food than expected. I had the Farmer Omelette which was enormous. Filled with fri d potatoes, cheese and onions and was very good. I also had 2 pancakes which were good as was the bacon. My wife had the eggs Benedict and French toast and loved both. The juices were very fresh. The service was excellent throughout the service.

As others have mentioned this place remains perpetually busy. Even mid-morning on a Tuesday we waited 20 minutes for a table. While I wasnt blown away the Buttered Biscuit did impress. For those familiar, its similar to the Another Broken Egg franchise or for a more local example, a more downhome Pressroom or Hive. The ingredients are very good and I especially appreciate the Onyx coffee. The Buttered Biscuit is well worth a try but I do have a few quibbles. The table wait was one thing but the time between ordering and the food arriving was borderline unacceptable. Our server really shined so it didnt ruin the experience. The atmosphere is a bit cold and loud not unlike the aforementioned Pressroom, but a fraction of the size. Most of our food items were delicious however the chicken in the Chicken and Waffle was just ok being two chicken strip type fillets. The fried eggs were not seasoned and in the Daylight Skillet they arrived over cooked, certainly well past sunny side up. The bacon jam however was fantastic and made me forget the issues. Since they are open till 2pm Id really love to see a burger with that jam!
Upon entering, I noticed that the place was very clean. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. I was a tad surprised as it was a very busy morning and there wasn’t an empty table left. We were served a deliciously hot cup of coffee. Iordered the Kiss Me I’m Irish omelette and it was amazing, with diced red potatoes and tender corned beef that wasn’t too salty really made the dish. The bacon jam is amazing. I had to ask for it on the side because I didn’t order anything that came with it and they were all too happy to oblige. It is a must try! The one biscuit I had was a wee on the dry side but tasty and very editable. I was truly amazed how quickly we received our food since it was so busy. The Buttered Biscuit is a class act.
A great place to eat. The food is wonderful. The service is on point. I really appreciate the thought that went into the restaurant. This place is solid. Keep up the good job. BGS
