I love Mulan’s. The dinner portions are huge and not very expensive. The food has always been fresh and tasty.

Hit or miss. I go here pretty regular and the food is either AWESOME or terrible. Guess it depends on who is working in the kitchen and who is working to keep the buffet stocked. The coconut shrimp is my favorite. The sushi is normally really good and the waitresses are normally very attentive. Now if only the other patrons would keep their children from running around like wild banchees…

Mulan’s…So close yet so far away…. Can you at least fake it and put the food in the microwave before you bring it out? This hurts to write, because Mulan’s does have a lot of potential. The wait staff is uber nice. The restaurant decor is awesome….it’s a very pretty restaurant. And some of the buffet items were brilliant! A perfect example is the steamed pork buns! A cool looking bread roll with pork stuffed on the inside – OMG, I could eat an entire PLATTER of those things….if they were only the right temperature.Which quickly brings us to the bad part. I personally counted FOUR buffet items on my plate that were either room temperature or below. I could forgive one, but this many? Even my Partner in Kryme had cold items on her plate as well. I don’t cook. I’m terrible at cooking. But even I know that you just can’t mess up your food’s temperature. The best pork bun, or cajun fish, or teriyaki chicken the world has ever seen can be completely ruined if the temperature is off. This is actually my 2nd time here and I had the same issues last time. And since if you fool me twice, it’s shame on me, I don’t see myself going back here. Chinese restaurants are on the plenty in Conway and I have better that I could go to.Like I said, there’s potential here. Mulan’s could really be a special place. But they seriously should have done better than that :(SEEEEE YA!

Room temperature and/or cold food on the buffet. My husband and I ate at Mulan’s when they first opened and had a negative experience with their food. The main complaint was that the food was cold, and that all the meat had dried out because of this. It has been about a year and we decided to go back and give it another shot to see if they worked through all of their opening kinks, if you will.Sadly, the food is still either room temperature and/or cold. I’m not sure why this is. Do their buffet tables not have a heating system? The cajun fish tasted wonderful, yet it was cold. The eggs rolls tasted good yet they lost their crunch due to sitting out too long. All of their yummy pork and chicken dishes were, sadly, no longer yummy due to not being hot or warmed – the meat had dried up and became a bit chewy. This is sad because the flavors are pretty spot on, yet once they are thrown out onto the buffet tables they just…..go bad. I’m assuming if you want hot food you need to order off of their hibachi menu (which is included in the price of the buffet, like their sushi) yet I was too full from sampling their buffet to try it. I want to say that I will try it next time yet I’m honestly not sure I will be back. I think, now, that the reason that they are still open is due to their location. Hungry mall patrons = a good, steady flow of customers. The wait staff, however, was wonderful both times I have been. The restaurant itself is quite lovely to be in. The decor is beautiful and the seating rooms are all an equal distance away from the buffet. It is a shame that such a lovely place just can’t seem to work out the heating issues of their food. If they are open in another year perhaps I will try them again.

Downslope. Used to be the best buffet in Conway when it first opened. No mas!

Fantastic. The sushi and hibachi chef is very accommodating. Both are made to order fresh in front of you, and I cannot say enough positive things about them. Does not add to the cost of the meal. They have great selection of vegetable dishes and fruits for my vegetarian wife, so we both enjoy lunch there very much.I’ve had better crab rangoon — and the dessert bar is to be avoided — but they have 20 different flavors of ice cream! (including Moose Tracks, so I’m quite happy!)We eat there at least once a month.

Where’s the Coconut Shrimp. The only reason I went there was the coconut shrimp was sinfully delicious. The last two times I went, they didn’t have any on the buffet. I was not happy either time.
