I cant imagine a catfish house in a wet county that doesnt offer beer. I like joe a glass of wine with spaghetti, a Coke at McDonalds and a beer with Mexican, pizza and catfish. The weather was nasty so I didnt make the trip to Rogers catfish which is just as good as the C Hole. Ive been to the C Hole for about 20 times over 10 years and have NEVER been given an answer to why they dont offer their clientele a more inclusive menu. Never once given an answer. Wont be back. Ever.

We eat here now and then with my parents, when we don’t have time to drive to Alma with them to the original Catfish Hole. It’s consistent and you always end up too full. We love the Cajun tilapia. We also love the hush puppies, tomato relish, cole slaw and pickle spears they continually bring out the entire time you are eating! Very good service! However, the food is truly best at the one in Alma.
Over-priced. Catfish tastes like dirt. 3 tiny peices for $10. Greasy stuffed baby shrimp for $16. Cole slaw is just cabbage drowning in mayonaise. Butter isn’t real butter. It comes in hospital grade Country Crock (Country crap) packets. Sour cream comes in squeeze packets like in middle school. Decor is like a geriatric ward. Took 20 minutes for two meals to come out. Only got one packet of sour cream. Waited 10 min to get another packet. Honestly, this was like being back at my high school cafeteria or visiting my great grandmother in her convalescence hospital.
Catfish Hole is certainly one of the more well-known restaurants in Fayetteville, notorious for their southern, family-style fried catfish dinners. While this place is okay for catfish, it’s nothing extraordinary and I wouldn’t recommend going there if your diet is restrictive in any way. They have a couple grilled fish options but overall there isn’t much to choose from other than the fried catfish. The sides are also not impressive, unless you like corn and green beans out of a can and really mayonnaise-y cole slaw. One thing people tend to agree on is the hush puppies are good.
The hook you with the appetizers (hush puppies, pickles & Cole slaw) and reel you in with the food! The frog legs are my favorite. I didn’t like Their catfish when I was younger, but it has improved tremendously! All around good. Drink the sweet tea with your appetizers. But don’t overdose on them before your food comes out. It’s just that delicious! Great for family/large gatherings! I hosted a dinner there for my family reunion in 2012 oldworldnew.us
Amazing food. We had dinner here last night. The food was amazing! I had the combo wit catfish steaks, fried shrimp and scallops. Others had boiled shrimp and chicken.
