A1Reviewer. Agree with previous reviewer re: arrogance. Met a friend who was paying for a party of 12. Was invited to stop by for a beer, his treat. Remember this was a party of 12 all eating steaks and crappy tamales. Was able to have one, one, that’s right one beer and was bumrushed out the door because people were waiting for tables. As we were leaving I noticed 14 living human beings at tables. 12 were the folks we were just with, lots if empty seats galore. If you want a great steak I can cook a steak from Dime’s, Richards or Sam’s on a real grill, not flat iron griddle for a fraction of the cost and be a hell of a lot friendlier in the process. If you like the steak version of the Seinfeld soup nazi, then these guys are great. Biggest jerks in the south. They Give Dickson St and NWA a bad name.19 Jan, 2015A1Review. I have been to Doe’s many many times and have told myself I would never come back to the ungrateful ingrates that own and manage this place but I do. I am weak and their 8 oz. center cut filet is the best I’ve ever eaten so I put up with arrogant behavior to get it. Everything else they have….soggy overdressed salads, nasty over cooked green beans soaking in grease, etc. can be beat at Western Sizzler. The arrogance of the old man at the door and his perfectly trained minion that works with him are horrible. They literally don’t give a flip whether you come or go. The next time you have a craving for steak take an extra blood pressure pill and pour yourself a stiff one before you go because you will need it to enjoy yourself in this hell hole. Just so sad you have subject yourself to such rude behavior to have a good stead. You will have to decide for yourself whether it is worth it!!
Not a fan. The steaks are high quality meat that is not prepared correctly. The waiters and waitresses do a decent job but the managers do a lousy job. Horrible attitudes and rude. The place needs a good cleaning and a new tablecloth or six would be a nice touch since I haven’t sat at a table there in forever that didn’t have a hole in the red checkered vinyl tablecloth. Beyond that how does a restaurant that costs $80-100 for two to dine get by with cheap ass silverware that looks like it comes from Sam’s and bends so easily that it is embarrassing? There are many other steak houses in NWA that do a better job with the same quality steaks. Believe me, this isn’t the Doe’s in Greenville or Little Rock. Sad.
It was okay…. I liked the steak, but I think Applebees probably does just as well for a lot less money.
Best Steak EVER. This is the best steak join in NWA. Granted, it is expensive and if I’m going to drop a lot of change on dinner I would like to dress up and this place is come as you are … but that is refreshing too.
Really disappointed. Ordered a 2lb Porterhouse med. well, steak arrived extra rare with a cold center once we were able to get our waitress back,the steak was returned to the kitchen, where from what I could tell was stuck in a mircowave. Came back dry and tough. $50 for a steak for to that left us both feeling cheated. We will never go back. A $10 steak from the supermarket, cooked on a bbq would have been better.
Too expensive, but good steak. It’s a nice place, good food, but too expensive for my taste. Probably could afford it if they offer it on LivingSocial Deals.
