When you reminisce about the great Feltner’s Whatta-Burger in Russellville and want to recapture the essence of that burger, this is the burger you want. The restaurant, owned and operated by three of Bob Feltner’s grandkids, serves up the classic flat Whatta-Burger as their own creation, pulled straight out of memory yet graced with a finer aesthetic. Plus, Chicago veggie dogs. tiedyetravels.com
In my mind there are two types of Hamburgers you can get at a restaurant. Old fashioned drive-in style burgers or big ol’ fancy burgers. Both have their place and there are great ones in Fayetteville of both type. Feltner’s is the top of the mark for good old fashioned flat top burger. It’s good meat, good cheese (properly melted), and pick your garnish and they put it on a soft, white bun that DOESN’T fall apart. Reminds me of the burgers in the small town I grew up in. A little char on the patties and that wonderful smell. You want truffle oil, a duck egg, and imported cheese from the French countryside? This ain’t your burger joint. They have great burgers and they have fries and onion rings and good hotdogs. It’s THE best fast hamburger in town. If you are tired of the nasty fast food burgers come get ya some of this. It ain’t fancy but we are talking about cheeseburgers here people.
Good and cheap food. Definitely in the same spirit as their family’s Whattaburger (not the chain) in Russellville. Try the chicken burger.
Great Burgers Greater Guy. I love Feltner Brothers Cheese Burger but I hate how stressed it makes the youngest brother to make it. Full Disclosure, I dated Grant for 6 months and think he’s a really sweet guy. We had to break up because he invented a grill caddy that is about to take the world by storm. I still miss him.XOXO J-Bunny
Still Hungry. Worst burger I have ever had! Would not recommend to anyone!
Stopped in today for lunch. Staff was friendly, service prompt, clean dining area, and the food was good. Will have to bring husband back and try the hot dogs next.
My food was very good (I had the Chicken Cheeseburger). My husband ate a cheeseburger and fries. However, the staff seemed more interested in making sure no one moved the chairs from the exact spot they were in. The patrons sitting next to us sat at a table that had been pushed together and they moved it slightly. One of the wait staff came and told them they liked to keep the tables together, and proceeded to push the tables back together. When I walked in I moved the chair at the table I was sitting at and the same staff member came and told me I couldn’t put the chair there just in case someone needed to sit behind me. But hey!!! My food was good.
