Food was ok but service was terrible only one waitress was working and the other six were standing around doing nothing but talking even when people needing things right next to where they were standing and on top of that the manager was catering to one couple and treated everyone else like they were invisible to the point where the people sitting next to me just left.
I grew up in Louisiana and these crawfish were very good – had Cajun and garlic – $4 / lb at the time of this review – Vicki was our server – she did a great job – we had a very good experience and will definitely come back – amazing food and excellent service –
We visited Louisiana a few years ago and was spoiled with the seafood you find there. It was so dissapointing to come back to AR and not find really good seafood. Our Anniversary was coming up and my husband suggested we try Juicy Tails. It was jaw dropping good. The best we’ve had since leaving LA. We had crab, shrimp, and crawfish. SO GOOD. The red beans and rice were my 6 year olds favorite. I was very pleased. Priced good too.
Really, really good. I didn’t think I could evenfind seafood this good in a landlocked state. The boiled seafood is the reason you NEED to come hereit’s your choice of seafood (I had the snow crab), with your choice of seasonings + level of spiciness. In case you don’t feel like shelling out (heh) for market price seafood, they also have anice variety of less expensive lunch and dinner options, with the softshell crab po’boy being particularly good.
Good food, but bad first impression. First time at Juicy Tails. The food was good. However, the night was ruined by a customer who threatened me for showing my wife where the restroom was. The staff did nothing but watch. I’m still baffled by what this man’s problem was. I’ll most likely never return. This first impression left a bad taste in my mouth.
Very Welcoming. Very friendly staff, they were so nice to my kids and family. We were seated immediately. We were offered perfect seating away from the other dinners since we had three small kids with us. The appetizer was great and large. The fried crawfish tasks were tender and well seasoned. Our waitress recommended a few good ideas and we decided on the snow crab. It was great. I understand its based on weight and market price which standard in most seafood restaurants. I loved that my kids were completely welcomed and we felt totally fine about making a mess and being ourselves. That’s rare with 3 kids 3yrs and under.
This is one of those restaurants that used to be good, but is now sinking. I tried juicy tails about 7 months ago with some co-workers and it was delicious. I got the catfish basket with sweet potato fries and the catfish was lightly breaded, easy to bite in, and fell right apart. Probably the most delicious catfish I have had in NWA. Fast forward to Saturday night 01/31/14 and it was a complete 180. I got the exact same dish the catfish basket. I walked in with my girlfriend around 7:15 and it took them 25 minutes just to get is seated after we were told it would be a 10 minute wait. (We should’ve left, we had a countdown). Then the catfish I received on my plate, not even a basket, this time was disgusting. The breading was dark brown as if it has been deep fried for 3 hours and then when I took a bite it was nuclear hot as if it had spent 10 more minutes in the microwave. The Cajun fries were all right and my girlfriends chicken as extremely dry and chewy as if it had been microwaved as well. This was my girlfriends first time there because I had talked it up, but I will not be returning unless some things change. Not sure if it was just a different cook, but it was overall an bad experience.
