Warn them about groups!!!!. We have a work group lunch once a month at different restaurants around the northwest AR area, trying somewhere different every month. I called ahead to warn them of our group. Well 16 of us just finished lunch there today, 08/20/14. After waiting an hour for our food, some got their food, some got theirs to go, and me, I walked out with never getting any food. I cannot review their food as I never got to try it. Some said it was good, others were not impressed. I can’t see ever setting foot back in this restaurant.
Overpriced and terrible service. We drove up from Fort Smith to see what the great reviews were all about. Two adults and three kids for lunch was $50. Half an hour after placing our order, two kids got their meals and were finished before the third kid got hers. The adults’ pizza came about 45 minutes after ordering. Our server came to the table once for drink orders, once for food orders, once to refill two of the five drinks, and once with the check. The restaurant was not busy at all. In fact during our 45 minute wait for pizza, we saw several cooks/servers taking selfies in the kitchen. Nothing about this place was good. Waste of time and money.
Slooooooow service; pricey for the quality. I went to the Rogers location about three years ago and never went back because of super slow service. I just visited the Fayetteville location and will not be back there either. It took 55 minutes for our food to come out AFTER we placed the order with our waitress. Mellow Mushroom is an o.k. place to eat if you have deep pockets and time to burn. You need to allow 1.5 to 2 hours to eat lunch there. The waitress was friendly and the atmosphere was good.
I’ve heard rave reviews about Mellow Mushroom, but only one word describes my 3 experiences eating here: Grease. The varieties sound so unique and yummy, but when the pizza gets to the table, it’s terrible.

I love their pizza. They always have good food and that’s always great but this time we got stuck with a waiter who was very unpleasant. As we were checking out my family member crossed out the tip line because we decided to leave money on the table. Well the waiter actually put himself a 25$ too on the ticket we crossed out. The meal itself was only 30$ so we caught it rather fast and had a few choice words with a manager.
