They used to be awesome, the go to place. I even had my wedding cake designed here. Last week I had a simple cake designed for my son’s birthday and they charged 50 dollars for a simple cake. I asked about some art to be put on it and they wanted to charge another 40 dollars for an art fee? Plus the lady working there was extremely rude and snooty. I hate to let one experience trump past good service but his did it, I don’t know what happened to them. I’m sorry, Rick’s Bakery, you cannot charge 90 for a simple Birthday cake when others charge a fraction of that and make it almost as good.
Ricks has been around for as long as I can remember! Being a kid, the glass cases filled with all variety of sweets, it was always a pretty magical morning stop. Since then the place has gotten a bit bigger. The sausage rolls are yummy and comforting and the tart lemon blueberry cake is a favorite. They have a good variety of coffee to boot! Fayetteville staple!
