Excellent service, great drinks, incredible duck confit pasta, and delicious molten chocolate cake! Quiet atmosphere that lets you get away from the noise of Dickson street.
If there is a better Happy Hour Menu in the area I don’t know where it is yet. Seriously. Duck quesadilla? Mini Burgers? Pulled Pork? Blue Cheese and Bacon dip? $5 ea? Seriously? Sign me UP!
I went here to have a high life sort of experience. To start, the complimentary valet was absent and also cost extra, you could hear the chefs swearing from the dining room, but the food was good. Finally, I ordered grapa just to round out the fancy experience and the bartender didn’t know how to serve it. I had to look it up for them.
My husband and I had a great time dining here, but unfortunately there was only one redeeming part about our dinner: my filet mignon. It was a perfect medium rare, served with delicious mashed potatoes and mushrooms on the side. I would go back for that! We ordered the salmon Benedict appetizer, which was a gorgeous presentation, but our poached eggs had hard yokes. I was very displeased. When dining at a restaurant – ANY restaurant – I expect the kitchen to know how to give me a perfect poached egg. My husband ordered the double porkchop with bacon onion marmalade, which again was a wonderful presentation. But, the pork was undercooked and chewy. However, despite the faults of the kitchen, we enjoyed the atmosphere, and had a lovely date night together, and we both enjoyed my perfectly cooked steak 🙂 if you’re looking for an exceptional meal, I probably wouldn’t done here.
Great happy hour. I have never eaten dinner at Theo’s, but love their happy hour. Great porch when the weather is right, and their happy hour menu is delish and reasonably priced.
