I had a half rack of baby back ribs, slaw and beans. The ribs had good flavor and came cleanly off the bone. I prefer that the back outer membrane be pulled prior to smoking… Both layers of membrane were left on. The rub was good, and the ribs were served un-sauced — which is what I prefer. The beans were good, and contained more acidity and clove than most. The slaw was well balanced and not overly dressed. Good food and friendly service.
Never again. Went to Art’s on 4/24/14, service was slow, catfish good, potato salad good, baked beans good, everything else was not, bread was stale, brisket was tough, fries were cold and soggy. Literally four people in restaurant when we arrived, no one else showed up, took 35 minutes to get food……two kids meals, chicken Bites( strips they are not) and corn dog. Wife had (small) catfish dinner, I had small brisket sandwich with baked beans(9.49) for a small sandwich and beans, Meal was 40.00. What a waste. Do not waste your time or money at this place.
