Rustic ambiance, casual table-setting (plastic plates and paper napkins) and very high prices for simply cooked, excellently aged steaks. Friendly wait staff. Cash your paycheck and prepare to spend a large sum for food you could easily duplicate at home, with the exception of the drop biscuits!

Did you say steak?. The meay is so tender and flavorful. The fried biscuits are like a dessert. Yummm! Only problem was ordered medium well porter and it was rare to very rare. Still ate most of it and then will take the rest home

Better Than Greenville!. Now THIS is what I expect Doe’s to be, even though my comparative is the original in Greenville, MS. Even though I almost felt we were eating in the wine cellar, I love the atmosphere of this Doe’s. The steaks were just as good, although still pricey, and I believe a very comparable steak can be had much cheaper. I did like the fact that I had a choice of salad dressings… not so at every Doe’s. I can imagine a cheaper steak being had around here, but not a better one.

Way too expensive and no wow. The 16 ounce Sirloin was way too fatty, no seasoning, and not cooked to order. Not to mention the waiter was way too busy to serve us or answer questions. In my opinion not worth the premium price.

Great steaks, great atmosphere. Great steaks! Call ahead and reserve a King’s fillet. They have a limited number each day and you don’t want to mess around with a sirloin(they are good but not nearly as good as a fillet). The fried bread with honey is like eating backwards. You will feel like you started with desert. The old brewery building is the perfect atmosphere and we like sitting in the old root cellar, but any seat will do. Doe’s is a very casual feel, from the plastic plates and glasses to the attire. Casual prices, not so much, but worth it. We split the King’s fillet between two and it’s just right. If you are alone, go with the Queen’s.

Steaks are too thick. Yep there is such a thing as too thick and this place has em. Two inches while being pink as hell throughout. If you want a dam good steak then go to Bravos. They have wonderful food. Doe’s needs to cut their steaks into. They tell you not to get a well done steak as it will be burnt. Yeah because it’s too freaking thick. Their steaks are quite costly too @ $18 a pound for the cheapest steak with a 1 1/2 pound minimum their highest price one will jump to $22 a pound with a two pound minimum. $44 for a two pound steak that is too thick and lacks being cooked right. Prices were as I remembered them as it has been awhile since I have been there. I will not go back. On a up note they did have good drinks and sides to the steak were good.

First of all to the people that say this is not a good restaurant have lost their mind!! My wife and I love this place. We have not once not went here and got a bad steak! Also people it cracks me up you say the steak was delicious but overpriced, really think about that for a second. Also to Trish saying she would rather eat at McDonald’s I got a feeling that you obviously own another restaurant hahaha! Anyway Does is by far the best steak in the area if not the state!! Keep up the good work!
