I’ve been here several times, including with co-workers and family, and have never had less than a delicious experience and meal. The staff is always friendly and on point, and the food always delicious. Today I had the mushroom and swiss burger, and while the patty was slightly cool, it was a very generous portion and perfectly cooked. The other toppings were fresh, and the burger had that bit of juice that runs down your hand, denoting a great, fresh meal!
Review of Ed Walker’s Drive-in, Fort Smith, AR. HORRIBLE!! THE WORST!! The server lied to me right off the bat when i asked if the owner was ‘there’. the server said ‘no’. but, ..guess what,.. the owner actually was there. good thing i asked twice because the 2nd time, the server said ‘i will check to see if he is in’ and i said…’but, i dont understand, you said he wasnt here. so, now are you saying he is here?’ … well, suffice it to say that evidently the owner tries to keep a low profile. I can only assume its to prevent unhappy customers from talking to him, and i’m thinking they must have quite a bit of said customers. anyhow….the owner who ‘wasnt here, but actually was here’ spoke to me. long story short, he acted like he was doing patrons a favor by allowing them to come to his place of bidness and spend their money. 😉 not the type of service i am looking for in a business. i didnt look in the kitchen, but since the floor was slippery/greasy, i guess i’m fortunate i didnt look in there cuz i have a weak stomach sometimes. I will be kind enough to ask the good folks at the health dept to have ‘a look see’ if you catch my drift. 😉 hopefully, they wont find TOO many health violations. In any event, until i get a rept back from the health dept, i wont be consuming any food there. your mileage may vary. also, rumor has it that the owner of Ed Walker’s Drive In owns another local restaurant , if anyone knows the name of it pls post it here so I can avoid that one as well. :)Course, all the above is just a factual re-telling of facts and certainly just one endodontist’s opinion. but, what do i know. 😉
This is a great old fashion dinner. My boyfriend and I had the French dip. The fries were nicely thick sliced and the curly fries are well seasoned. They were delicious! The au ju was great!
I had the philly cheesesteak yesterday for lunch and broke a tooth on something hard in the sandwich. Now, it’s a $1,000 sandwich and my dentist loves the place..
This wonderful Fort Smith tradition has the best roast beef sandwich in town. Coupled with an order of fried mushrooms and it’s a great meal.
Very disappointed in our burgers tonite, my husbands Bison burger was waaaay over-cooked. My 1/3 lb cheeseburger was the size of burger kings little double cheeseburger. REALLY for$6.99???? The fried mushrooms were good. Won’t be going back anytime soon!
Dissapointing dinner and a sad movie. I was in Ed Walkers with my family after church one Sunday and was shocked to hear my server talking to the girl she was training in such a disrespectful tone that it actually ruined my appetite After waiting an hour for disappointing food I couldn’t get out of there fast enough Hey Ed it’s not you it’s me I’ll call you NOT
