WAY over-priced. Ordered a $5.79 junior bacon cheese. Patty was maybe a 1/6th pound. Bun too big for the small patty. Chopped white onions.. Not sliced red. Horrendous atmosphere– walls covered in propaganda in the form of reviews. I don’t care if they’re zagat rated.. The price for the amount of meat is very very bad. It was FAR from a 1/4 pound. I won’t be back. Lots of great burgers in this town for lots cheaper. Ed walkers, bob n Ellie’s.. Lots better deal.

Great taste, poor atmosphere. Love the burgers, and the fries, but you put up with a lot to get the taste. Despite the simplified menu, the service is slow and wait time is noticeably long. The prices were higher than expected, $$ not $, but the worst part was the noise. This has got to be the noisiest fast food restaurant I’ve ever been in.

Cheeseburger was juicy and made to order. Fries are fresh cut and yummy! Staff are friendly and always busy cleaning. They also take online orders so you can order ahead and pick it up. Overall great place!

Grand Opening Review. There is a new burger in Fort Smith and that burger was made by five guys and served with fries. On Wednesday, December 19th 2012, Five Guys Burgers and Fries opened its doors at 7110 Rogers Avenue in Fort Smith next to the AT&T store and McAlister’s Deli. The restaurant was packed during that opening day as area diners made their way to try the latest addition to Fort Smith’s dining repertoire. After sampling Five Guys’ signature Bacon Cheeseburger, this examiner admitted that he was hooked himself, and when one stops to consider that all of these burgers are hand formed and made fresh to order it is easy to become addicted. Now a lot of fast food restaurants make the claim that their burgers are formed by hand and made to order, but the thing is Five Guys delivers on this pledge. Those who wonder how need only visit the restaurant to see that the grilling area is in open view. Yes a customer can watch their burger being made while they wait for it. So it is difficult to dispute that fresh quality. Aside from fresh burgers, Five Guys offers fresh cut fries to go along with that burger served. The secret is that the restaurant uses only Idaho Potatoes to make their fries. Many would not think that this would make much of a difference, but because of the colder temperatures in Idaho, the potatoes there are much sweeter which makes them taste better according to Lori Lowe, the owner of this location and four others in Arkansas. In fact Five Guys will post where the potatoes they are using that day were grown (FYI, the fries that this examiner tried were grown at the Circle Ranch in Hamer, Idaho). In order to make sure all of their buns are fresh, Five Guys orders all of their bread from Harris Bakery in Rogers and has it delivered every other day. What also sets this restaurant apart is that they don’t charge for their toppings. If a customer can fit it on their burger the Five Guys team will place it on there. There are fifteen toppings to choose from so no one can say that their burger lacks anything. Now for those who crave something other than a burger, Five Guys can accommodate them. The restaurant offers Kosher Style Hot Dogs that customers can add bacon or cheese to, as well as grilled cheese sandwiches for the little guys. Five Guys Burgers and Fries started in 1986 when Jerry Murrell gave his sons two choices: go to college or take the money and open up a burger joint. The boys chose the latter and opened their first store in Arlington, Virginia. When that restaurant proved to be a hit they opened five more in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. In 2002 they began to expand their franchise to other parts of Virginia and Maryland. A year later they began their march across the United States, and even into Canada. Today the chain has more than one thousand locations and has been featured in dozens of publications. Mrs. Lowe started out as a franchisee in the Washington D.C. Area, but realized that the area was pretty well covered. So she joined the pilgrimage out west and opened up the Arkansas territory. Mrs. Lowe planted her flag in Little Rock and opened up other locations in Jonesboro, North Little Rock, Rogers and now Fort Smith. While she may consider adding another location in Fayetteville down the road her main concern right now is making sure that the Fort Smith location is running smoothly. With the quality of food and the friendly service offered, it does not seem like that will be a difficult job.
