I’ve had pizza from NYC and Chicago. Papa’s Pub has the best pizza I’ve ever ate in my life. Hands down the best pizza ever. Period. Paired with a pitcher of beer, it’s hard to beat. Just don’t go on the weekends, the place reeks of Armani cologne and Pall Mall cigarettes. Every $30,000 a year millionaire and douchebag in town is packed into the place and you’ll want to kill yourself before you can pay for your pie and get out the door. (You’ve been warned). ;-)Helpful Hint, call ahead and order your pizza to go on nights the bar will be busy. To avoid the smoke and crowd try to get a seat out back on the patio if you want to dine in.
Sat down at the bar and waited. Then waited. Bartender stood right in front of me and chatted with the guy next to me about personal information. Then lit a cigarette, looked right at me and continued talking to her friend. Spent 20min sitting there, invisible, then left to spend my money elsewhere. It was not even that busy.
Crap!. This place is full of college kids with no respect!! Don’t even no why they have games(when there is no room) or offer pizza (when you can’t get a seat)!! Staff runs around helping only as they chose. Surprised the fire station has not be called on the crowd off ppl, bc you literally can not walk around the bar!! I have been a resident of the river valley area for years now and have only gone there 3 times bc of the horrible circumstances!! This place has to be making money from all the college kids so get a BIGGER SPACE!!! Duh!
Best Pizza. Best pizza in town. If you remember Godfather’s Pizza, you’ll want Papa’s Pizza. Thick crust with even thicker toppings. We last got the meat lovers pizza and it must have weighed 3 lbs. Too bad the pub is so smoky. Get it to go or sit out back in their courtyard.
It is a really good pizza(Bacon cheeseburger is a new favorite ) , the cigarette comment I can agree with. Did see my fair share of older guys eyeing the young ladies. Can be a little loud.
Really???. Never again will i spend money in this place. i go in on a dead saturday afternoon for pizza and a few beers..its over 100 outside and i get asked to leave because i have on a tank top. im a very clean person and do not have nasty pit hair or whatever reason they have behind not letting men wear tanks, on top of that, a tank top from pacsun is hardly inappropriate ( i.e. nascar/beer drinkin cut off shirt ). We’re in Fort Smith Arkansas, not really a part of the country where you’d expect to be denied service for your attire. When i looked around to see 4 other people ( all women i might add ) wearing tanks as well, thats when i became upset. 3 out of the 4 women wearing the tank tops were servers. If customers have to wear sleeves to drink beer and eat pizza in a smokey bar, then the servers should have to wear sleeves to serve customers.
