Awesome burger! Love a dive burger spot that grinds their own chuck! I give the burgers an A and the fries a C-. I would have had a shake… but the burger was plenty.
I am not sure what relationship, if any, this place has with CJ’s Butcher Boy in Russellville or the David’s Burgers location’s in central Arkansas-but if you’re familiar with those places that’s what you get here. If there’s no relationship then they took a good idea and ran with it. With that said, don’t expect a warm welcome like you will get at the former, nor the endless fries to get at the latter, but the burgers are pretty much the same. For the uninitiated, the Burgers are smashed and seared on the flat top. They come from chuck ground daily at the restaurant. They are not all that well seasoned but are still flavorful greasy gutbombs. Deserving of mention-the fresh-cut fries. They are outstanding. Seems like it would be hard to leave this place hungry. As long as you like burgers that is. Because that’s what they have. Burgers.
Great burger. Try it with some grilled onions and a fried egg. Friendly staff and talked with the owner while he cleaned the tables. Very personable and checked on us several times. Nice touch with the family photos from the meat shops that his family worked at back in the 1920s and 1950s.
