Not bad!. The pho that they serve doesn’t taste authentic. It taste weird because it seems to cater to the Western audience sweet tooth. I been to Vietnam back in 2012 and this pho is too sweet and seems to miss the components that give Vietnamese pho that fulfilling meaty fullness. I would say, it’s not bad but I would rather eat my Mom’s pho which is real and doesn’t cater to such Western tastes. Real pho doesn’t taste like pho hwang. True Story! The service wasn’t that great. My two friends and I ordered soft drinks and they never gave refills. It came in a can which we had to pour ourselves. The owner seems like the business friendly shady type. Gotta admit this might be the best pho in Fortsmith minus the authentic Vietnamese label. I’m Vietnamese and I know what real Vietnamese pho taste like and pho Hoang is definitely not real.
Not my first time there but am never disappointed. I do not live in Ft. Smith, and have never tried another Pho restaurant (as there are several), but my family and I love this place. It is just delicious. I prefer the bowls of Pho full of fresh bean sprouts, beef, torn fresh basil and lime. The fresh springs rolls we had today were delish. Whatever dish my picky son had (a stir fry dish), he ate almost every bite. I can’t help but make happy plates!
Lunch Menu. Pho (pronounced Fu) Hoang has been serving delicious Vietnamese style cuisine for several years. What separates them from some of the other Asian restaurants is that they do not offer a buffet. Pho Hoang is reminiscent of the take-out restaurants that are popular around the New York City area. The food is made to order so no one has to worry about eating something that has been sitting around for several hours. I tried the Mi Hoanh Thanh. This dish is a clear soup served with pork wonton, shrimp, imitation crab and vegetables. The soup is priced at $6.95 for a small bowl, yet is still a good value for the money. The reason is that even a small bowl is large enough to accommodate a hearty appetite.
Not a bad spot for a quick meal. I’ve eaten here several times and I love the Pho. Their fresh spring rolls are also a favorite of mine. I usually come here with friends and or family and they like it here as well. The food is flavorful, just the right temp. The service is great, for my taste. I personally dont care for a server that visits the table 10 times during a meal, so overall I really like this place for the Pho.
Best Pho in FS!. Coming from a family that makes pho every other week, this is has to be one of the best pho restaurants in FS. Very authentic tasting food and the service is impeccable!
Good.. I love their egg rolls/crab wontons. I recommend the steamed rice with char broiled sliced pork(C24) and thin egg noodle B.B,Q pork, jumbo shrimp, ground pork, crab meat and squid(B43). The pho (P4) is good too, but i’m not a big pho fan. Workers are rude but the food is good.
Sour Taste in my Mouth. 1. Bad Services2. Served cold, several day old rice3. staffs/owner seemed to give preferential treatment to customers who are not Asian4. my money is as good as any white customer5. Typical F.O.B behaviorsFinally, PHO KING has wayyyyyyyy much better foods and reasonable price…staff/owner treat all customer the same…
