For a chain restaurant, The Egg and I is right on track. Situated along Highway 71 south of I-540, the restaurant caters to both the industrial sector and the residential folks who live around these parts.I personally recommend the Wisconsin Scramble… with its fine cheese and onions, choice of potatoes or grits and toasted English muffin, it’s a great non-meat choice. Ask for sliced tomatoes instead of the potatoes for a lower carb option. tiedyetravels.com
Love it. The Egg and I is one of my favorite places to eat. The owner is super friendly and talks to a lot of the customers when he can. Nice seeing a local face behind the leadership, instead of a corporate chain. The skillets are amazing, as are most dishes on the menu. My favorite dish is the Chicken Cordon Bleu skillet with scrambled eggs and extra hollondaise sauce. Dishes always look nice, and the food is always great. Recommend for anyone looking for a great breakfast meal.I will be back!
