We are visiting from Tulsa, OK area. We met friends in Hot Springs, AR Friday 11/2/18 and are staying at the Embassy Suites. We stopped at Angel’s to see if we could get in to eat. I would recommend this place to everyone I meet. This is the most amazing place I’ve seen in a long time. From the moment we walked in the door, we were met with a courteous young man working the pizza oven to the hostess that found us a table, to Rusty that served us to whoever is the wonderful chef that made our delicious dishes. They made our evening a most enjoyable meal. I had the mushroom ravioli … the best I have ever had. My husband had the lasagna, something he is very picky about and he enjoyed it so much he raved about it and ate every bite. Our friends raved about their meals as well and cleaned their plates. This is truly one of Hot Springs most surprising hidden secrets for me. I would suggest you call ahead and make a reservation as they fill up fast but it’s well worth the experience. The food is amazing. The service is wonderful. The atmosphere is fantastic! I definitely give them 5 stars!
I ordered a pasta dish expecting fresh vegetables and a homemade sauce. What I received was canned veggies, and very few of them, on a decent amount of generic pasta, with little cheese. Worst yet was the price; I could of fed my whole neighborhood, and prepared it ten times better for the same price as my plate. My kids ordered pizza that tasted like a sooped up Jack’s frozen–the sausage was not Italian, some poor tasting pork sausage, the crust like Jacks, and the sauce canned. The staff was cordial, but not overly inviting, friendly, or eager to please. Don’t waste your time or money as I made the mistake. The physical location and ambiance was amicable.
Happened on this place while on vacation… the food was excellent… we had the fried goat cheese and antipasto plate for and appetizer and both were excellent. We enjoyed our pizza, spaghetti and crab cakes as well!
Food was average for mid range Italian and the service was disappointing. If you’re looking for authentic Italian with good wines to choose from this is not your place. It’s convenient and somewhat festive but don’t come with high expectations.
Horrible experience. The only food that had any flavor was the brick oven pizza. The Alfredo was bland and tasteless. Spaghetti and Meatballs – Sauce was meh. Meatballs were gross. Soda comes in a can with ice for 1.95 and they charge for refills. Was very disappointed. 6 of us ate there and were out 95 bucks for horrible food. I will say Service was good.
A small, steady Italian joint on Central Avenue with a limited menu featuring favorite classics like spaghetti and meatballs and zabaglione, with some newer twists like crabmeat ravioli. Classy but not too expensive. tiedyetravels.com
Super- good pizza in a super-cute place! Nice thin crust and baked right in front in the pizza oven. Cool historic building with lots of old touches left. Outstanding service as well.
