Disgraceful. I previously wrote a favorable review from several prior visits. I must now amend my review to include tonight’s (8/2/2014) dinner. Service was good, but that is the best thing I can say. The veal marsala had no trace of marsala sauce with no mushrooms in sight. Just soggy breaded veal. The veal piccata had no trace of piccata sauce and no lemon flavor, just a few capers on top of soggy breaded veal. I don’t know how to describe the Caesar salad, no hint of flavor of a typical Caesar salad, just soggy lettuce and croutons with the addition of jarred or canned olives. Never seen olives in a Caesar salad. This was on a Saturday night, so there can be no excuse for a midweek off night. Spaghetti with meat sauce and cheese ravioli were passable. I was embarrassed to take out of town guests there and will never set foot in there again.
Our service was excellent. The chicken portabella ravioli outstanding. Skip the Angel’s salad, it was over priced and just ok. The cream of asperagus soup was very good. The cocktails are very overpriced. Quiet and romantic in a vintage hotel that tries.
Ate here after my wedding with family it was nice and quiet and the moscato wine was amazing. All the food is al a carte which sucks but all the food is sooo good the Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve had and the angel hair pasta was so light and flavorful. I will have to come back next time I travel here!
A- holes. Well to start off with it was a saturday night i was meeting a client there and was going to talk about business since he was flying through. First off they told us that it would be 10 minutes for a table , we waited and waited, come to find out there is a list you have to be on 30 minutes later they bring this out since they were not that busy this would have been a nice piece of info to know. Got our name on a list waited another 20 minutes. Got seated and waited and waited. finally after telling someone we need a waiter, a gentleman( i use this word out of kindness) came over to me and want to know what we want. acted like we were bothering him, asked for drink glasses to be refilled several time. when he did he poured tea all over my shoe and gave us the wrong drinks every time then slammed glasses down and went back to the table where his friends i guess were and spent all his time there. 2 hours later we get our food and it was horrible i was in front of a client so i didn’t complaint figured i would give them a call later. waiter brought over a huge bill not itemized at all. i paid it which was a mistake and left called them when i left there call got the hotel night clerk which finally after 2 calls and a hang up on me he gave me the restaurant number. Finally got the number to the restaurant i spoke with jennifer who was the manager who informed me she was really busy and would call me back….i informed her to call me back i didn’t care what time it was i wanted to discuss this asap she promised she would and didn’t…. i call at 12:30 am get the hotel gentleman he was the only nice person out of everyone i talk to he promised he would have the manager call me first thing in the morning….never happened so i call at 2 pm got the hotel manager and her name was also jennifer. i asked her if she had got my message she informed yes she did but she couldn’t handle it so she didn’t call me . yes i was finally angry. what finally set me of was when she changed her story and told me that she didn’t have time to call me back to explain she would have to get the owner to take care of this i asked 3 times to give me a call back asap and never happened. so she informs me that she has to much to do to talk with me she explained several times how i would not let her talk and that was a lie. her whole 2 minute explanation was yeah i got your message , I’m just to busy to call you back but she took the time to get my name, phone number, and my credit card. she ended our call by saying you will not let anyone talk and she is to busy to talk to me……..yeah for some reason i was angry…. can imagine why….. This seems to be the whole attitude in this business.. rude argue with you and to busy to hear my complainant now here is the kicker there was a small black piece of something in my alfredo and the waiter whom did not ever give me his name said it was a pepper but there was only one in there so i chose not to eat my meal and didn’t want to alarm my client… i had eaten there many times and never had any of these problems…..and yes i have the get alfredo all the time. i quit eating it when i found the black round piece of something and then the waiter never returned. I’ve tried repeatingly to call them and have yet to get a chance to explain this to them. i stopped payment on my card. i have threatened to sue them now because of the way i was treated on the phone. the night hotel clerk John was the only good guy of this whole story , he is the only one that did what he said.
LOVELY PLACE. Had dinner last Saturday night and sat outside Wonderful food and service02 Apr, 2013WONDERFUL. On our second night in Hot Springs we walked to this place and was so delighted with the menu and service that we are looking forward to returning this spring. A gem that everyone should discover
Probably the best food in Hot Springs! The service was great too!
The food was wonderful, but I agree with the other reviewers that the service leaves something to be desired. When you spend $60 a person on drinks/dinner/dessert, you would at least like your water glass filled and a waitperson who smiles. Bad service aside, I would still go back again. The olive salad and creme’ brle were so good!
