Pretty decent Mexican food if you’re already in the mall, but nothing to go out of the way for. Their beef, as well all all of their other meats, are quite good, but stay far far away from their lettuce. Other than that, it’s a pretty decent restaurant, with pretty reasonable prices. (I recommend the taco salad)
Felton P.. I was here with family members and a church group last night and the food wasn’t very pleasing. We are all from Shreveport, Louisiana and we were in Hot Springs and we were just coming from the Magic Springs/Crystal Falls theme park. I ordered two tacos and some Mexican rice and the meat tasted like it was halfway done. The rice was sort of dry. This kinds of reminds me of Tacomania in Shreveport.
Good food, great service, live music
GET THE SOUP!. Order the chicken soup. Trust me. It’s not chicken tortilla soup, it’s chicken soup. Lots of shredded chicken breast, rice, corn, finely chopped onion, tomato, and cilantro, and the best part–huge chunks of avocado. You’ll probably have to take the rest of it home too. It’s on the appetizer menu for some reason, but it’s a fantastic meal by itself! The white queso is very good too. Service is better some times than others, but we love Don Juan’s–both locations.
Started out pretty good. Dinner was nice. Service was so so. Then we ordered cheesecake. It was served with mold on it. They just took it back. No apology or anything. I doubt we will be going back.
