Enjoyed the live music! Food and service were excellent! Exceptional atmosphere.
Best Mexican place in hot springs by far! Service is great also. Whether you are a local or a visitor Padrinos is a must! Salsa is excellent and always fresh! Atmosphere is inviting and very clean! Flavor of the food is mouth watering!
Very solid tex mex offerings and what seems like an endless menu of choices. Fast and friendly service and a nice atmosphere. The bar looks cool but is buried way in the back. Next time I think I’ll head there for a happy hour.
Outstanding food and service. My wife and I decided to try El Padrino a couple of weeks ago based on the reviews we’ve read. The location formerly housed the fantastic Joe’s Italian Grill, and Mi Burrito which was quite good as well.It was around 8 pm on Friday night and the restaurant is right next to Wal-Mart and a busy highway. However,it appeared nobody was inside. We decided to go ahead and give it a shot. Good move! We were seated immediately, and received undoubtedly the best chips and salsa ever. I ordered the Enchilada Verde, and my wife ordered a Chicken Chimi. Both entrees were fantastic. We also had a great flan as well. Our server was wonderful also. The restaurant is very nice, and it’s clean as a pin also. Hot Springs has no shortage of good Mexican restaurants, but this one stands out IMO. I just hope it’s able to survive! I think only one other couple and a small group of folks came in after us. Hopefully this was due to football season starting, but it worries me given the history of the location. It would be a shame for this place to close!
Competing for Top Mexican. El Padrino’s has a huge menu, beautifully re-done premises, most friendly and professional wait staff, and Mexican food of good quality—some not to be found at other local Mexican restaurants. Some portions are HUGE. The Fajita Chihuahua, for example, comes with the fajita meat (chicken, steak, shrimp, and bacon) plus veggies (onions, bell peppers, tomatoes) on one huge plate. On another plate is the salad, sour cream, rice, etc—-again a big plate totally full. A pig-out for even a gigundous appetite and truly delicious! The rice is seasoned different from the normal Mexican fare and is the best I have ever eaten. Refried beans are good as well. The chips and red salsa are now my favorite in town, mainly because the salsa is nicely seasoned with not too much cilantro and is not very hot. No red salsa in town I like better, but I do love Jose’s cucumber/bell pepper/guacamole green salsa above all tomato-based salsas. The great mystery is why other Mexican restaurants do not duplicate Jose’s offering.A new restaurant branching off from one in Hot Spring Village, El Padrino’s is well worth trying and continuing to patronize so as to help it stay in business (Joe’s Italian Grill, an excellent mom-and-pop place and a prior Mexican restaurant each failed at this location—in strip center beside Wal-Mart on Albert Pike).P.S. A better frozen margarita cannot be found: lemony/limey with plenty of sweetness and ample tequila.
Awesome food and service! We had fajitas and they were great! Salsa was fresh and delicious. We live in NWA, but will definitely go back!!
Really awesome food!. Been there several times, every time we go the parking lot is more and more crowded. The decor is nice, seats are comfortable, the staff is great and the food is fresh!
