My wife and I rolled into town late and wanted eat something that wasn’t too heavy. We decided to order the shrimp dip and the seafood crepes and share. The shrimp dip was delicious and creamy, although my wife and I disagreed on the amount of celery mixed in. I thought it was too much and she thought it was right. They don’t shortchange you on the crackers either. The seafood crepes were excellent with shrimp, crawfish and crab mixed with creamy sauce and plenty of cheese baked together. M only complaint with them were that they were a bit pricey for being the only thing that you get with the order, no sides. The best thing about Fat Jack’s is that they serve the beer ice cold. It was refreshing after the 6 hour road trip for us the get there. Would certainly go back.
These are the best onion rings ever! Hand breaded goodness. Great service. Loved the oysters. We’ll eat here again when we come back to Hot Springs.
A waist of time and your money. The gumbo was so bad that I think it had spoiled. The service was poorly done. I will never be back. The menu was a mix of this and that.

Fat Jack’s?. I am new to trying different restaurant, so yesterday me and my friend went and tried them out. We order simple appetizers of cheesy fries with chili. The thing was, when me and my friend looked at the menu we didn’t see the drink list like soda or tea. Plus they never gave us the beer list. Luckily, the waitress gave us the beer list so I could get a margarita’s. Now, I know when you are a waitress you are suppose to take the menu after ordering, they waited till after our food came to the table. The chili tasted funny, but the cheese and fries were very good. So was the margarita’s.I would give this a 4 1/2 rate. I am going back to get more of a review of their burgers.
Only thing good was the service staff. I am from Hot Springs and decided this weekend to go to fat jacks. When you first arrive and see the exterior you know this is a little different. After walking in the interior design is poor at best with writing on virtually everthing in sight. The music is to loud as it blasts from a stereo . The waitress took my drink order and brought it quickly. I made a simple order of four fish strips. As I tried to eat the fish it was actually chewy it was obovious that the fish was from frozen and not fresh. My fries were so so their taste was ok at best and they were limp like a limp noodle. You can get better sauces from your local kroger store than the tartar and cocktail sauces they serve. I am still concerned about what may have been on the table surface as they are not smooth top tables and have manny grooves that unless they clean deep with a scrub brush between customers it could not have been clean. The floors are sticky as well. The only reason I stayed to eat there is I wanted to give the place a propper chance. I know restaurant’s can have an off day but this place was just to far to the bad to return to. Even if they offered me a free meal I would not return. Personally I suspect this place will be closed within a year or two unless they really up the guallity but even that will not work if they alienate to manny people before making food and environment changes. On a scale of 1 to 10 ten being best I give them a 3 because of the wait staff being fat jacks saving grace.
Seafood is awesome. Fat jacks is an oyster bar. All their seafood was excellent. We had peel n eat shrimp, oysters and I ate a poboy. It was all delicious! My boyfriend got a ribeye and the cooked and seasoned it perfectly. I’ve heard from a couple people their burgers weren’t good…it’s an oyster bar so if you are looking for a burger go somewhere else. I will be back for sure the next time I’m in hot springs!!!
