Better than expected. At first glance the place looks like a dive. Boy is that wrong! We had a large party for breakfast and expected to wait. We were seated immediately. The service was excellent from beginning to end! Every order was correct and perfectly cooked! Top it all off the price was reasonable. This is a must visit place!
Run Away!. This place is horrible. Both meals we had were below substandard. Fried pork loin was so nasty and rubbery. Cornbread was horrible, chicken fried steak greasy and tasted like it was fried in old grease. Yuck! Greens no flavor and tasted freezer burned. Fried squash was mush. Mashed potatoes no flavor. Service was mediocre. The place is not clean. We won’t even consider ever going back.
Great breakfast for a very reasonable price! Everything on our plates was devoured within minutes. Had eggs, sausage, and corned beef has. The biscuits and gravy was off the chain like a stolen bicycle! 16 bucks for two. Great breakfast experience.
We saw Granny’s Kitchen as soon as we got to hot springs last night, but decided to walk around (and ended up eating elsewhere). Went back this morning for breakfast, and it’s some solid southern homecooking. Our waitress was sweet and very amiable, and the food was tasty. Came out pretty quick and everything was just right. It’s basic breakfast, but they do it well. We are interested in coming later for dinner.
Simple, southern food. If you come here looking for a refined, unique meal you will leave disappointed. If you are looking for simple, traditional food like grandma used to make you will leave satisfied. We had the fried pickles (amazing), vegetable soup (average) and the chicken fried steak (good). I’d eat at granny’s again.
Spendy, average food. Good reviews on spoon, temped us. The food is nothing special, not bad food, properly prepared, but nothing special. Service is good… friendly, accommodating. Prices are really high, maybe they are saving up to remodel the place?
