My husband and I have lived here for 24 years; he is a Hot Springs native. I was raised in Texas, and I know great Mexican food when I taste it. We’ve been to all the other Mexican food restaurants here but let me save you the time and money. Look no further than this. The people are super friendly, you are seated fairly quickly, after you order, your food is served quickly but they don’t rush you. You never get that impression here. They have the BEST white queso! But quite honestly all their food is great. We have our favorites of course. You will Too!
As good as the Central location. My wife and I dined at Jose’s location on Malvern Avenue last night. We found the food and service to be excellent just like the Central Avenue location. My wife had the Chicken Chimi, and I tried the Tilapia Fish Tacos. Both entrees were excellent as well as the chips and salsa. I particularly love their green salsa. It packs a pretty decent punch. This location is not as crowded and busy as the Central Avenue location. We were in and out of the restaurant in less than an hour. The traffic and parking situation is much better too! You really have to watch the traffic around the Central Avenue location! Our bill came to a whopping 22 bucks! Very nice!
The service is terrible. They sat us in the far back corner and they forgot about us.
Nice 270E addition. Jose’s hit a home run here, as this end of town really needed a great place to dine. Inside you can hardly imagine that this was a older home once used as an accountants office – what a change!! The food is what you would expect from Jose’s if you have ever dined in there other location. From there signature green salsa, to the huge burrito’s to the fajitas, I have yet to have a bad meal here. All are exceptional texmex fare. Quick service, fair prices, nice ambience, and good food. What could be wrong?
Great service, awesome margaritas, the food is always fresh and consistent. One of our favorite places to eat in Hot Springs.
Festive Atmosphere, Same Great Food. Jose’s did a great job of taking an old house and converting it into an open, pleasingly appealing restaurant—nothing discernible left of the old structure. Same great food as original Jose’s, if anything maybe better (Quesadillas had more fajita meat in them, or so it seemed). A welcome location for East Hot Springs folks who don’t want to drive way out Central to the original Jose’s.
