I had the grilled tilapia here and it was pretty decent. But the sides were sub-par across the board. Nothing seemed fresh or had much in the way of seasoning. Kind-of a nice, down-home atmosphere. But just not quality food.
First visit. Food was excellent. Best fried shrimp we ever had. Catfish perfect. Ribs were meaty and smoked to perfection. Mushrooms were very tasty. Fast service, no waiting. Would recommend to anyone. Not cheap, but plenty of food for the money. We brought home enough for another good meal.
PSA: they’ve moved locations! Further down 270 towards Malvern. Love this little place and their delicious fried fish! The new store is bigger and nicer too. Hate that I’ll have to drive a little farther but it’s worth the miles. I’d walk them for that bread pudding!
Just got home from eating at Mr. Whiskers, very disappointed in food, the fish was great but the fries and hushpuppies were cold and coleslaw had no flavor. Prices were good. I live by the new location they moved to but don’t think I will be eating there much.
Overall good and consistent. The hush puppies are better than a lot of other local places. Clean and friendly environment. But I’m not gonna write home about it.
The Real Deal. Legit spot to fill the soul. Everything was on point. Not fancy just great food. Good service and smiling faces. Can’t wait for a return trip.
Really good food ….and service. We tried Mr Whiskers today and we will return very soon when we walked in the place was clean and inviting and the service fast and friendly we both ordered Po Boys my wife had the chicken $7.99 and i had the shrimp $8.99 both were yummy and the Whiskers sauce is really good i also ordered the hush puppy basket for a $1.99 you get 6 or 7 i can’t remember exactly but its well worth the price I HIGHLY recommend you give them a try next time im going to try something different but im sure it will be great also ……Almost forgot you will not leave hungry…
