Amazing Fried Chicken!. I have to say that Chicken Country may have the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten. The meat was very moist and tasted great. I would definitely recommend this place over KFC or any other chicken place in the Jacksonville area.
Favorite friday spot!! Chicken and dumplings are comparable to my mom’s!! Mashed potatoes and white gravy, fried okra, and peach cobbler are my favorite sides, and their rolls are super tasty. Go!!
Don’t waste your money on any other chicken place. With our party of 4 we tasted a little of everything from their cafeteria style buffet. Everything 5 stars! Real home cooking.
Oh my! I love this place! Southern food at it’s best! This place has been there a while now. Buttered rolls and two kinds of cornbread made several times a day, awesome chicken-n-dumplings, BBQ sandwiches, fried fish, and cobblers. The staff is nice and the restaurant is kept clean. They are usually pretty busy though, come a bit early for lunch to get a spot.
Home cooking, great prices, hot rolls and peach cobbler!. Real home cooking with quick and friendly service. Have tried the popcorn chicken, baked chicken, fried okra, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and gravy, plus peach cobbler to write home about. Prices are reasonable, and the yeast rolls are hot and homemade.
Good gizzards. Well seasoned chicken and gizzards good veggies and rolls. good prices i prefer it to any of the chain places. If it’s busy check your to go order before you leave.
Down-home, Southern cooking with a full choice of vegetables (yes, tasty vegetables) and other sides. Try the peach cobbler. Try the pecan pie. Friday is chicken ‘n dumplings day.
