Took my wife here last night for her birthday. We got the last table available for the night, they were pretty busy but we thought we would just try and be patient. 20 minutes later we were finally given water and asked what we wanted to drink. 15 minutes later we were told our wine selection was unavailable and we were given our beer. We finally got a different kind of wine that was waaaaay more expensive at no price break. We had been there for 45 minutes already when we finally got our food order in. It was an hour from the time we walked in the door to the time we got our appetizer. Our waitress returns and informs us that she accidentally didnt put our order in all the way whatever that means…..and says shes sorry and will rush it out. A half hour later we finally get our food , i ordered the hoss burger that it said came with horse radish sauce and it came to me with none ,my wife’s food was also sub par. When we had finally had all we could take we were so tired and pissed off the entire night was ruined. We could see the kitchen staff standing still with orders hanging on the shelf. The cook staff was clearly lazy as you could possibly be. Not to mention they looked like they were plucked right out of the hood and never trained. Yawning and dancing in an open kitchen when people are paying good money for service is so unprofessional its down right rude. The manager came to our table to apologize and proceeded to tell me and my wife that we dont know what we are talking about, we would have to be in the kitchen to understand, I was a professional cook for 5 years on a ship so i need no help understanding. Her solution was to take 20 dollars off of our 120 dollar bill. She was so rude to us on my wifes birthday i wouldnt hire her to be a cashier in a brothel. It was the worst ecperience i have ever had in my life at a restaurant and i will never go back. Its over priced, understaffed , poorly, managed, and they clearly have no grasp on reality. Gordon ramsay would shut it down withing ten minutes of walking in the door. I will be sure to tell everyone i meet for the rest of my life to never go back.

I regard 501 Restaurant as one of the nicer restaurants in Jonesboro. They have a decent size list of options on the menu, and even after dozens of visits, I’ve only received a few food items that weren’t good. A couple of my favorites are the center cut filet and the chicken parm pasta dish. They provide a delicious bread basket for the table; and the service is usually at least adequate. Their steaks are really the stars of the menu. Definitely one of the top five locations in Jonesboro for steak. They have a full bar, and a couple of beers on draft. It can be a little on the pricy side. My wife and I can easily spend $75-90 on dinner here.
