Food was great, good service , nice atmosphere
Great dinner, as expected. I’d eaten at Omar’s in the 501 Club several times previously, so I knew I was in for a treat when I tried the newer downtown location last night. My expectations were borne out about the food, and I was pleasantly surprised by the more casual atmosphere of the lounge upstairs – worry about fitting in with the suit & tie crowd was what made me delay giving it a try for so long. Service was impeccable, with bartender Reggie going above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I ordered from Monday night’s prix fixe menu, having the gumbo (very tasty), Manhattan steak w/ asparagus and twice-baked potato (easily the best steak I’ve eaten this year!), and creole bread pudding for dessert (just the right way to top off a very satisfying meal).I’ll definitely be back to enjoy other menu items in the future.
Great food, Amazing Service!. My friends have been telling me about Omar’s Uptown for around 2 months now, and recently I went in for dinner! I have to be honest I was slightly worried that it would be too expensive, and not my kind of place. I was incredibly surprised when entered to a friendly staff at the front door and comforting conversation! When I opened the menu I was even more surprised to see that the prices were WAY less than I have payed for similar items in Memphis, Little Rock, Fayetteville, and Nashville! As a long time 501 club customer I am incredibly impressed with the new style, food, and atmosphere! So long chain restaurants, and hello Omar’s Uptown!
Cowboy rib Eye. While I have had several occasions to visit Jonesboros Omars -501, this first trip to Omars Uptown. The first thing I noticed was this was definitely a more upscale restaurant than the usual downtown choices. The tables were neatly set with white linen table cloths and proper setting. Service was prompt and knowledgeable. Good variety on menu with full bar and nice wine list for a restaurant in Arkansas. Well prepared seared ahi tuna to start and my wife and daughter had the filet with goat cheese cooked perfectly. They had 24oz. bone in rib eye call the cowboy rib eye and yes I had to try, it was huge but tender and cooked to perfection. Always a good sign when you can get a rib eye that is not overcooked. Definitely recommend and will return with friend.
Food and drinks are excellent. Managers, atmosphere and servers are all awesome. You can’t find a better restaurant.

Completely Exceeded Expectations!. My wife and I dined here last night for our anniversary and the staff, food, atmosphere were all outstanding! She had the pecan crusted salmon and I had the port & blue filet. All steak I have from this point forward will be compared to that piece of heaven! Excellent restaurant to have and for that hour, it felt as if we had been transported out of Jonesboro to a fancy restaurant in a big city!
