Too slow. Food here is very good, servers very polite, but the slow service negates the positives. Ate here 2x this week, lunch and dinner and both times the service was extremely slow. Too few personnel is my suspicion. I’ll not return
Typical watery smashed up tomatoes for sauce not integrated with pasta. Not even close to a real, thick, rich tomatoe gravy. Needs to cook 6 hours minimum. Let me show you how. I’ll bring my pot.
To add….it took too long to get our food. We we’re very disappointed by the time it took to prepare and serve. Unacceptable!05 Jul, 2014First , I have eaten at Ciao’s many times but have never felt special per say. I took my Dad and Brothers here for Father’s Day dinner and can’t say that I left completely happy with the turnout this time around. I don’t feel like you have to pay hundreds of dollars for great, authentic food in any cuisine. My best friend is from Calabria Italy and from travels to Italy, I know what Italian food should taste like and what it’s worth. My family seemed happy but uncomfortable and I will tell you why.1. Light: too dark. Could not read menu. Had to use light from phones and also had horrible pictures. We are a family, not a romantic couple. Management should be more perceptive and change this at moments notice or ask how comfortable we were. It changed the mood of our dinner. 2. Overpriced Food3. Management does not value return customers.4. The lady at the register seemed to be more concerned with how much money they made that night than assisting me with a VIP card. She never returned it to me after I spent time filling it in. Luckily me and my family are fun people and we enjoyed each other’s company. The waitress was nice. Don’t know about returning here thought. Oh and my Dad never got his steak we ordered. So, I guess we won’t be returing due to this experience. I will go to my friend house for authentic Italian food with a good mood.
Just go. Trust rhe majority here — Caio has Dependably good food (lobster bisque– not necessarily Italian but who cares!!). And the service is almost always equal to the food. And the owner / front of house manager is as warm as the food.
Good food, tasty desserts. Always has great service. Have had no bad experiences. Food is always delicious and served piping hot. The bread is ok. Wide range of choices. Would recommend eating here for the quaint and homey experience. Desserts to die for….
Excellent!. I would highly recommend the lobster bisque! The food is great, service is great, and atmosphere is great. We love Ciao’s for lunch because they are quick but still the sit down feel.
Good First Experience. I ate at Ciao’s this past weekend for my wife’s birthday and with some of our friends. I got the spicy crawfish pasta. It was really good. The lobster bisque was as well. I wish the prices were a bit cheaper but for the atmosphere it was acceptable. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We received our food quickly after ordering. The staff even provided us with a sparkler candle for the birthday celebration. We will definitely be back sometime.
