Average type Bakery just south of downtown. The interior decorating and atmosphere is pleasant but often times the staff is unfriendly. Their donuts are subpar, their coffee is decent unless you are a coffee snob in which case you would consider it bad coffee, their one saving grace are there sandwiches and paninis which are fantastic!
I had such high hopes for the Community Bakery. The layout is confusing and the staff were completely rude. I had a pastry which was pretty good. I gave a low score solely for the rude staff.
My Side Order of Carrots. Three carrots. Really?20 May, 2015I normally really like CB but lately every time I go for lunch I vow not to go back bc of the wait time. Today I waited almost 30 min for a takeout order. And when I got back to the office with my food, my side order of carrots was literally three tiny carrots. Three.
RUDE, RUDE,RUDE!. I have been a Community Bakery customer all of my life. I even remember my mother purchasing birthday cakes from this bakery when I was a little girl. HOWEVER, over the past few years, I have been more than DISAPPOINTED with the customer service. The workers, with an exception to very few, have been rude and discourteous! For the past three years, each and every birthday cake order has been incorrect, yet because I LOVE the taste of their white cake and butter cream icing, I continue to endure. This past weekend, I purchased a half sheet cake and sugar cookies for my sons birthday party. Not only were my purchases at the WRONG LOCATION, but they were also incorrect AGAIN! After the inconvenience of driving from the Shakleford location to Main, I then had to wait for them to correct the order because it was completely WRONG! With that said, I missed the first half of my sons birthday party and did not receive one Im sorry from management. In fact, the one and only time a manager even stepped out of the kitchen to acknowledge me was when I requested to speak to one after being expected to PAY FOR MY INCORRECT ORDER. I was completely shocked and insulted. The actual manager that came to speak with me was JOHN SPROLES. Mr. Sproles was RUDE AND UNAPOLOGETIC. He acted as if I was an inconvenience to him and continued to repeat the phrase, thats all that I can do, several times as I expressed how upset I was by the service. IF YOU PLAN TO ORDER FROM THIS STORE, YOU MUST FIRST CONSIDER IF YOU VALUE GREAT CAKE OVER RESPECT AND SERVICE! My advice: you can get great cake anywhere.
Loved the cakes!. Community Bakery on Main Street prepared the cakes for the wedding of my son and his bride. The cakes were delicious and beautiful. The cherry blossom design on the wedding cake was perfect! Your talents added a special touch to a wonderful day! Thanks so much!
Cream horns are my favorite, but today it was awful. Cream filling tasted like medicine.
Amazing cookies! I love sweets, and was in the area. Tried this place and found a new fav. 4 sweet treats, and 2 milkshakes came to 14.62 very much worth it. Can see my self going there again soon.
