An authentic feeling pub, with good grub.. I am an aficionado of Irish pubs. The wood, the brass, the slightly stale smell of cigarettes that rests like a foundation under the smells of good beer, good food and cider? Hard to beat. Well, the service was kind of slow, but again, that’s par for the course with pubs. Dugan’s meets the requirements. I’m from Louisville, but I was in town on business and just had to stop in since I was staying at a hotel nearby. I give this place a thumbs up if you are into the Irish Pub thing. And even if you aren’t, and you just want a good drink, good food and a place to be around people having fun, you could do far worse.As a side note, they also run a little urban grocery and liquor store next door, if you are staying downtown this is a great place to get snacks (and drinks) for when you want to hole up in your hotel room and just veg, or something. Though, for some reason, they apparently are not much on diet sodas…
Not an Irish pub. I came down from Boston and my friends were raving about this pub. The decor and the darts were the only thing Irish about it. Half the drink menu contains rum (not a single car bomb, black and tan, etc. on the menu), the food is over-cooked, over greased, and in small portions, the soda bread is kneaded and scorched, and the biggest insult- they don’t serve boxty but they serve fish tacos and cheese sticks.
Someone’s Meal on My Plate. I placed a take out order for a Taco Salad on 3/20/2014. The guy on the phone said it would only take 15 minutes. Well, I thought that’s quick. I entered Dugan’s Restaurant about 5 minutes early and my order was ready, WOW, I thought. I paid for my order with a tip and proceeded home. When I was home and opened the containers, I had small soggy chips in my salad. I would not have noticed, but the chips were separate from the salad. This leads me to think, why is these soggy chips in my salad. The only think I fully believe this salad was off of someone’s plate. I came to the conclusion based on the amount of time it took them to prepare my meal and the soggy chips in the salad. I do not recommend eating at Dugan’s Restaurant & Bar
This is a great place – my wife and I enjoy eating at the restaurant and also the carry out option. If you don’t check this place out you really are missing out on the greatest pub in Arkansas.
Dugans Pub on Saturday night. Been here several times during the week and service was good. Saturday night visit a different story. Kitchen very slow, some of the food came out cold, fries were terrible. There were 6 in our group and we wanted the check split 2 different ways, it was split 4 ways and not anything close to as requested.
Bar tenders were rude… Especially the far one with the nose stud. Shepards pie was discussing ! Not an Irish pub…. Didn’t pass the Irish test
Awesome Food. Highly recommend mozzarella sticks for appetizer followed by steak sandwich and onion rings. Take my advice it will not disappoint!
