If you can find parking, the food is excellent. Not crowded around early evening during weekday. Service was friendly. Unique spices made chicken crispy and spicy giving it a nice kick. Plentiful side orders. A definite recommend!!

Definitely worthy of the ‘Famous’ moniker. The chicken is moist, tender and has a great spiciness to it. Everything is cooked fresh, so beware if you try to bite into when it comes out.I didn’t try all the sides, but the okra and macaroni hold up as good. The baked beans are the show-stopper. My Great Aunt, God rest her soul, who lived almost 100 years, spoiled me with homemade baked beans for a good part of my life. These are the closest to those baked beans I have tasted. If I go back, I will only get beans and chicken.Great atmosphere….simple, bluesy and industrial. Good service and the prices are very reasonable. I got a thigh and two sides for just over $6.

Well the chicken is certainly good. This place is all about the chicken and nothing else unfortunately. While our waiter was very good the rest were carrying on with themselves a bit out of control. Everything on the menus with the exception of the chicken was there because they needed something else on there it seemed. All the sides were plain, bland and small. Did I mention the chicken was good! Moist, large and had a bite of hotness to it. The sweet potato pie and coconut pie were ok. This is the most I ever spent for fried chicken too. It’s a shame a little more attention isn’t spent on other things besides the chicken.

AWESOME! Gus’s is one of my favorite spots in Little Rock. Always great and at a great price. If you haven’t been; you are missing out!

Too much $ for little food. It’s all hype. Way too may money for the little amount of food. I will not return; unless you’re payin’.

Disappointed. I visited the west little rock location for the first time yesterday to surprise my other half with fried chicken that she loves. I stopped by after the lunch rush (1 PM), n fact there was almost nobody there. The order was simple: two piece dark meat, fries, greens. It took 30 minutes to receive the order which was over $12, nobody ever spoke with me or any of the others waiting, and the fries were warm at best. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 30 years and promise you I will never return. It doesn’t cost money to have employees who care and there was no reason for any of this meal to not be piping hot.
