This place seems to have very mixed reviews. Seems people either love it or hate it. I guess I’m in the middle somewhere. The Chicago style pizza is a good attempt at deep dish Chicago pizza, but it still falls short. No pizza place I’ve visited in Arkansas has made a deep dish that measures up to the excellence that is real Chicago pizza. That being said, I think Gusano’s may have the best representation in the Natural State. I enjoy it every time. Other menu items I’ve tried have been a little hit or miss. The service can be a little slow at times, but it’s usually friendly.
Go for the Calzones!. I loved my chicken and calzone I had. Delicious filling and perfectly-seasoned crust! Our server was friendly and helpful. The others in my party had the Chicago-style Big Cheese pizza–They liked it a lot, but I didn’t really love the bite of it that I tried. Overall, we enjoyed our experience there.
