Not Homemade, But…. As far as the hot lunches go, the food is okay- but it’s from a can- not fresh or homemade. It’s not bad and it’s not great, either. I wish they’d reduce the size of the menu and not try to do so many different things.The sandwiches are pretty good- I’ve never gotten a BLT with as much bacon on it in my life- and that’s a GOOD thing!! Breakfast is darned good- the kitchen can get eggs right- over easy, over medium- all cooked properly. Sadly, that’s pretty rare these days!!The bare-tummy waitresses remind us of Cafe Risque in Florida- that’s not exactly a bad thing, but not what you expect at a roadside diner in Arkansas. 🙂
Not as good. I have been a customer here for years and they usually have really good food. After being VERY disappointed with my horrible food at Homers West, I went back to the original location on fried chicken day. Sadly the chicken is different. It tasted just like the horrible chicken I got at Homers West. It seems like they have changed the recipe and lowered the quality after opening the new location. As usual the service was great, but I’m hesitant to return.
Dissapointment. Homers West is a huge dissapointment the food was not good at all and our server was just as bad, don’t order the catfish unless you like mudcat it had huge yellow strips of fat going all through it and the chicken fried steak was mystery meat with gravy. Homers by the airport nevers serves the food that Homers West serves.
Best plate lunch in Arkansas. The cabbage was excellent.
Was not as great as other reviews raved. Chicken and dumplings were greesy and the salad dressing container grossed me out. Other than that good corn bread and speedy service
Consistently Good. Homer’s delivers consistently good plate lunches. I always go for one of their lunch specials. Today, I had Chicken & Dressing, candied yams, butter beans, and jalapeno cornbread. The food is consistently good.At lunch during the week, the place can become quite noisy which I think is one downfall of the atmosphere. Nevertheless, the staff is always hardworking and attentive. I’ve never felt like the staff wasn’t keeping an eye on our table and checking on us regularly.
Awesome!. I love this place! Everything is homemade and wonderful! They have the best yeast rolls EVER! This is also the only place that i have ever had amazing turnip greens! The servers are very fast and hardworking. Out of 10 i would give Homers a 20!
