Horrible Customer Service!!. Placed an online order friday night after a long work day, walk in, already paid online, hostess greets me and tells me to go pick up at bar. stood up there for a good three minutes without being ACKNOWLEDGED. 4 people standing up there talking, all looked at me. So i proceeded to sit down.. sat there right by the bar for 10 minutes. I was never acknowledged OR greeted. I finally stopped someone and asked for the manager. He came out and I asked who was in charge of the to-go orders and he just kind of looked at me. Frustrated, I told him I had been there for ten minutes and hadn’t even been acknowledged. He told me he was sorry and walked behind the bar and my food was sitting back there.. Already cold when I got home I might add, and I only live 5 minutes away. Manager was really nice and attending but as for his bartenders and servers..he might want to hire people who will actually do their job instead of just looking at a customer and continuing to talk about nails she got from the dollar store and walmart. I pay $20 for food just for me, I expect decent customer service. Being a server and seeing how well and quick our servers and bartenders are to greet and take care of guests, i give this restaurant not even a full star. Glad i didn’t put in an automatic tip.
Buh. Never again.. So this place has been going downhill for a while now. The only reason we went today was because we had a gift card. The people at the door were incredibly rude, but at least our server was cordial, if not exactly accommodating. We had two entrees, a calamari appetizer and waters to drink. The total came to $50. I’m fine with paying that price for this amount of food, however it should at least taste good. The calamari (which I used to love getting) has now become mostly red and green bell peppers fried to look like squid and then just some of the actual meat here and there. Waste. My guy’s tour of Italy was hit or miss. The bacon covered chicken had flavor, although I wouldn’t say the sodium overload on that one was actually good, and his Alfredo and tortellini were nothing to write home about. My papardelli pescatore was the worst though. It was basically served in pink-tinged water instead of sauce. It had no flavor whatsoever. I was liberal with the salt and pepper but that didn’t really help. I let the waitress know it was extremely bland so she brought me some packets of Parmesan. Oh joy. At that point, after no more than a couple bites while trying to season to taste, i realized they weren’t going to offer to take it back and attempt to salvage the dish. So I asked for a to go box, if my dog or the people on the side of the road don’t want it I’ll probably trash it. We already knew this place wasn’t that great anymore but now at least we know not to give it anymore chances. Silver linings I suppose….
The last time I went to Olive Garden we waited an hour to get our food and it was cold and gross from sitting under the warmer too long. We asked to speak to the manager she came to our table WITH PINK EYE! Her eye was running and goopy and she kept wiping it while she told us she was back there pulling food as fast as she could. WITH PINK EYE! I have never been more disgusted in my life. We left without eating, I will never return.
