Homecooking goodness.. My husband has been going to Sandy’s for 25 yrs while he’s out around town working. He finally brought me one day when I was off work and now I’m hooked! The food is down home cooking with good seasoning. The atmosphere reminds me of small town diners you see all over. My favorite thing are her beans, I don’t know what her magical seasoning is, but they will have you thinking abt them until the next time you get back. I highly recommend this place.
This place is in an old house. It’s dirty and smelly, but I wouldn’t mind if the food was good. It’s really not. I’m not going to say its horrible, but eating mediocre food in a old smelly abandoned house is not my idea of a good time. I do get why people go here, just can’t make myself do it twice.
I ate at Sandy’s Homeplace today for the first time. The chicken livers were awesome as well as the cabbage, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Drink included the cost is $7.75 cash or $7.75 card. I will be back!
This is my favorite place to go to lunch with my dad. Wednesdays are chicken and dumpling day, our favorite! Sandy is so sweet and her staff is amazing. The tastiest homemade food in little rock hands down.
In a word: delicious!. I’ve been going to Sandy’s for years, and it’s always a pleasant surprise. The location/building may give off a somewhat unappealing vibe, and the interior is nothing special, but WOW the food and atmosphere more than make up for it! It’s simple, hot, and delicious southern-style cookin’ at its best. And you’ll find people from all walks of life when you go. I’ve gone with coworkers before and at one table seen road workers in safety vests and at another table businessmen in 3-piece suits. Everyone appreciates great food at a great price I guess!
Sandy’s. Great homecooking. Wednesday is chicken and dumpling day!!
This is a small buffet style place with good homemade southern food. There is one main entre per day all made by sandy (the owner). I love it and to whenever I can make the lunch hours. My favr is the chicken pot pie and the chicken n dumplins
